JD Wood is from Goldbach, Germany where he lives with his wife and 3 year old son.

Blue Muse Songwriter of the Year

The Blue Muse Songwriter of the Year recognizes the artist who demonstrates extraordinary talent for each preceding year. That is, the award is intended to recognize a variety of elements that are necessary for success in today's music environment. A strong understanding of music and lyrical structure, an ability to create interesting and appropriate melodies, and a sufficient amount of musical collateral are part of the determining factors for this award. In addition, a fan base and consistent ratings will also be a factor for demonstrating an appeal to the listening public.

There is no entry fee associated with the Blue Muse Songwriter of the Year Award. It is open to any member of BlueMusePublishing.com who has uploaded their original songs with only one exception. Artists with major labels or major publishers have little to gain from such an award and the award is intended to recognize new artists. Therefore, an artist with a major record or publishing deal will not be eligible. Otherwise, there are no conditions associated with the selection of an artist for this award. An artist may, however, be signed with an indie label or an indie publisher and remain eligible.

While there are no conditions aside from membership and originality, an artist may be offered a publishing contract at any time either before or after the selection. Accepting a contract is not a condition, nor is receiving this award a condition for a contract to be offered.
